USPS RPW reports from 1980 to
2006, total First Class letters grew
from a low of 58 billion to 91.9
billion over the last 26 years,
an average growth rate of about

Growth through Innovation and Sustainability is the theme that our association has chosen to represent our focus for this year. As the structure of the mail changes the envelope industry has always changed to meet the needs for new products and services. Read more
Sustainability is our second effort this year. Our effort is not only
addressing the climate change concerns and environmental friendly
purchasing concerns of our customers but also how we make ourselves
an even more sustainable industry in the long run. Read more
As we look across the marketplace, the envelope market presents an
array of very interesting results for 2007.
With
more hours being worked, injury and illness incidence rates were on the
rise in the third quarter of 2007 according to the EMA Quarterly Safety
Survey. OSHA Recordables increased by 13.34 percent; however, they were
down over 34 percent from 2006. Read more |
